The Spirit of Money
How You should use it to achieve your goals.
Over the centuries money has been maligned as evil, corruptive and likened to a means of exploitation. You probably read and heard that if you are a truly spiritual person, whatever that means to you, you should not be attached to the stuff and that money does not bring you happiness.
Out of all the above statements probably only the last two are true and have relevance to your personal growth. Yes, I said personal growth, because the world we live in uses money as a commodity to get us from one place to another, and I am not talking about holidays here, but your personal development, which cost money. It need not cost a lot, but I am sure, you will agree, if you want to further your personal growth, money will exchange hands at some point sooner or later. You will probably invest in books, a workshop, or one-on-one sessions. Whatever you do, at some point money will change hands.
Can we agree then that money is part of our world, just like your car, house, food or clothes? Yes, I thought so.
So, how come that money conjures up more emotions than almost anything else?
After all, money is simply a means of exchange. It is energy like everything else in this universe. So what's different about the energy of money? The difference is mainly the way in which you identify with money. In your mind you have the fixed idea that money is hard to come by, only for a privileged few, and that you will have to use unethical means to get lots of it fast.
What if I told you that this is nonsense?
Money, as I already said, in its purest form is energy, the basic building block of the universe. Energy in itself is meaningless. It has no emotions and it has no value. You are the one who gives it value. This can be the energy of hate, the energy of love, the energy of desire and of course whatever emotion you place on money.
Money in itself has no intrinsic value, and neither has anything you look at you see in this universe. I know this is a big concept to grasp for many. It may even sound shocking, because it is not how you have viewed your world until now. This concept also attaches to that dirty word, self responsibility, somewhere in the background...Accepting that we are responsible for our own reality is something most of us resist with passion.
Alas ,it is one of the core spiritual laws of the universe.
The universe actually operates by very simple laws. Let me explain: Universal energy is omni present and has dormant intelligence. You are the vehicle to connect to it and give it meaning. When you do this you express your own spirituality within this universe. You create matter by directing it consciously with your thoughts and you give it meaning in that way.
Money is matter created through your consciousness. Your conscious and subconscious thoughts give it the meaning you attach to it through the beliefs you have about it. Whether you fear it, desire it, or hate it, abuse, or condemn it is your doing alone. Because matter in its basic form has no meaning, but it has endless possibilities.
Such is the true nature of money, and in this sense it is as spiritual as you are. Learn to become conscious of your thoughts around the subject of money and to direct the energy of your beliefs. There is nothing wrong if you express yourself through the means of money, and it is only one of many means of expression. Use your incredible power to bring it alive and give it its rightful meaning. Give it the meaning money deserves as a facilitator to create positive change, happiness and joy.
But always remember you are the conductor, money, like all the energies in the universe is your orchestra, so conduct it well and it will reward you by playing sublime music aiding to the fulfillment of your earthly dreams. This is why you are here to express yourself with any means you enjoy. Money, just like anything else is plentyful and you are not depriving anyone by making use of it.
