Five keys to happiness

Ask anyone and about their main goals in life and they will say that being happy is pretty high up the list.
We all want to be happy. The fact that it is on the wish list of so many of us tells the real story though: We have lost the art of happiness. In the western world life has never been easier, yet, as many statistics proves, our happiness levels have not followed suit.


Call it paradigm shift, loss of soulfulness, strain of modern living, our happiness skills have been dwindling and this has serious consequences, because if you are unhappy you will find it extra hard to earn decent money, or maintain satisfying relationships.


Here are five skills that will ensure your happiness



  • You need to know yourself intimately and be okay with who you are

  • Be in total harmony with your environment 

  • Live in the NOW and don't project into the past or the future

  • Accept your life as it is, no matter how bad you may think it is

  • Have trust that you can  have inner peace and get the things which are truly dear to you


So, the theory sounds great, but just how do get these happiness skills? Actually it is not as complicated as you may think.


I know, getting to know yourself can be tough. Our life long conditioning has not made it easy for us the get to the core of who we really are. However, it can be done. I have created a number of very potent and easy to use exercises that get you to the core of your real self. My book Forgive And Let Your Love Grow contains a number of these exercises.


Getting to now yourself intimately is fun. And, let's face it you are with you all the time, every day, 24 hours. Don't you think that it would pay to be on the very best terms with yourself?
While true happiness is ultimately created inside you.


I have learned over the years that you can make the journey so much easier for you if you stimulate your visual senses and also create the right frequencies in your personal surroundings. When the energy flows well in your home you will feel relaxed. It is easy to slip into an alpha state. This, by the way is not a state of trance, but a state where you can be very alert indeed and relaxed at the same time. When you are in this state, your worries fall away and your natural creativity develops. Situations that appeared difficult suddenly have lost their urgency. In this state solutions  to all your problems will come to you. Naturally, when you feel you have few, or no problems you will feel a lot happier about your life.


Living in the NOW is a big challenge for us. It was for me too. Let's see what happens when you  don't live in the now. You look to the past, probably either regretting that things are not so good right now as they used to be, or  feeling sorry for the hard life you have had. When you project into the future, you are probably doing it with fear of what lies ahead, worry and self doubt may push you to do things which are alien to your nature. Seldom are we congruent when we look into the future positively. There are simply too many unresolved issues in the way. So, why not concentrate on what is happening right now? After all, you can only change  your life  right now, you certainly cannot do it in the past, and if you are going to do it in the future it may never happen. So, why not right now? Here is your chance to be happy. In fact, now is the only chance of happiness you have got.



Acceptance of your life is a pretty close one to living in the now. When you have learned to live in the now you will accept your life. Believe me, this is how it works and no matter how difficult you think this concept may be right now, it works. There are many techniques you can learn to get to this enviable and empowering state. True, it will not happen over night, but I guarantee you, if you work at it, you will get it pretty quickly. Clear out the old demons and work on your shadows in the areas which are most important for you. If money is your concern, look at my books  concerning money issues. You will find if you clear one troublesome aspect in your life, other problems will begin to fall away automatically too.


And, finally, develop trust. Have faith in your quest. Believe in your ability to be happy, to do what is necessary to get you there. You are on the right path, do what helps you to build this trust. Read my books, you will find plenty of inspiration and many techniques in each of them to help you.
